Crusader Kings 2 is somewhat of a strange game. War isn't particularly interesting, and it is likely that if you have more soldiers you will win a battle. However, the great part of this game is the intense diplomacy that is needed to win. You must take care of your subjects, your vassals (Both secular and religious), alliances, and family. It causes an insane balancing act that is tough to do. I have a 40+ hour play through that started out as an Irish duke that controlled one county. Today, I'm the King of Ireland, but outward expansion seems daunting. I have scenarios where my dynasty was threatened by succession problems (I made a huge mistake making matrilineal marriage of my heir), civil war (gavelkind succession!) and just plain old invasion (Scotland!). There is absolutely no way I could describe the entire game to anyone here. If you like intense strategy games I suggest you give this one a chance.
