Overall, this game can be entertaining, but it can get boring very easily at times.

User Rating: 6 | Cruis'n USA N64
I remembered playing Cruis'n USA for the N64 back in the days. I think this game is actually pretty fun to play, but it still doesn't have a lot of content. I was surprised that IGN gave this game a 4.0 while Gamespot gave it a 6.1. I personally though IGN was a tad too harsh this time around.

The graphics is this game is pretty smooth and has basic environments. Mostly everything turned out to be bright and colorful. Most of the N64 games usually had blocky and somewhat pixilated graphics. Although some environments were very bland (like the buildings), other areas were detailed like the cars and sky. There were not frame rate issues or any known glitches either like there was in Cruis'n Wii. Overall, they were passable for the N64 days at least.

The controls were basically tight and responsive, but they also have a tendency to spin out and flip on you. For example, if you're driving fast and hit a car, your vehicle could easily spin out, and you could also lose your winning position. You can also zoom in your camera, and change the music. There is also a two player mode for grand prix and regular racing modes. You can also change the difficulty levels. Overall, the controls were pretty good, but the physics were a little bit off.

There aren't that many tracks to listen to, but the music in this game is pretty decent. There's some surfer styled theme songs and racing themed music as well.

Overall, this game can be entertaining, but it can get boring very easily at times. Despite its shortcomings this game is still passable enough to recommend purchasing or renting it for the N64 or the Wii.

Presentation - 4 This is an arcade racing game where you race across the United States of America. However the presentation was pretty flat because there is no story and limited environments (stages to race on).

Graphics - 6 The graphics are mostly bland and partially detailed. There are no frame rate or glitch issues.

Sound - 7 The music is decent, but there aren't a lot of tracks to listen to.

Game play - 7 The controls are tight and responsive, but the physics are just a tad off.

Lasting Approval - 5 There is a two player mode, and you can still do grand prix and change the difficulty levels. However, there aren't a lot of modes and multiplayer options in this game.
