Croc Legend of the Gobbos is mixed at first, but becomes more fun and charming the more time you spend with it.

The only downside to Croc Legend of the Gobbos is the control and the camera. The control is unlike the simple one of other platformers; Spyro and Crash Bandicoot come to mind. The camera wil cause frustrating deaths in the places you don't want it to happen. Instead of giving the player control of it, you have to move the character around until the damn camera catches up to the action. It's especially infuriating in some of the boss fights. But enough of that. The graphics are top notch for the time of the PSX era, reminiscent of Mario 64. And the gameplay is very Mario 64-esque as well. You explore varied stages collecting creatures called Gobbos and gems. Sound familiar? The death system is reminiscet of another game too. You coleect diamonds and if you get hit once, you lose them all. Get hit again, you're dead. SOnic the hedgehog, anyone?

Overall, Croc Legend of the Gobbos is a fun diversion that grows on you the longer you stay with it.
