Croc: Yoshi game turned shoe

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is a game. there's stuff to say, & i like it more than Tekken.

and so the adventure begins, which is actually the name of level 1. Croc is fairly linear, with optional gems & fuzzy creatures, the "Gobbos", to collect. they're optional as in "you need them to fully complete". also, tank controls. this doesn't make the game an uncontrollable mess or what-have-you, it's just annoying, & can make movement more inconvenient. not to mention, Croc is a weighty little reptile. which makes him fall like a brick in quite a good few instances. but on a more positive note, this game does 3D linear platform stage design pretty well, kind of like Crash Bandicoot, Donald Duck: Quack Attack, or Sly Raccoon. & by collecting coloured gems, you can unlock extra areas, & alternate exits. Crash Bandicoot. though the colour gem bonus areas are pretty boring, to be honest. more fun just collecting the stuff. & regular pearly gems protect you as an extra hit point. oh, Sonic the Hedgehog. & for some reason, the music isn't playing, but listening to it on YouTube, it's very cutesy & Mario-esque, or Spyro-esque, for that matter. just go listen to it, best thing in the game so far. speaking of things similar to Spyro, the bosses, they have a little level bit, then you fight. & then the tank controls kick in again. oh. if this game had vehicle levels, it would not do well with them. oh, wait, Croc 2. crap. but yeah, i think i've said enough. 6/10
