Blood, Gore, and Guns have never been this fun

User Rating: 9.7 | Crimsonland PC
when you first start playing crimsonland you'll be thrust in the middle of a horde of aliens with none but a pistol. when you start defending yourself you notice that enemies die in a satisfying pile of blood, but are soon replaced by bigger badder monsters trying to make you a snack. it soon dons on you, you're fighting for your life, and loving every gore filled minute of it. and to cap it all off you learn about being able to attain perks, anything from cramming more ammo to the magazine to giving your bullets that rich creamy uranium filling. you decide to turn on your speakers and it hits you, you've found the best combo in the world: blood guts and heavy metal. while the music in game is satisfying i find it best to mute it and play my favorite punk rock in the background. and while the graphics are extraordinary for this type of 16-bit shooter, they just weren't gory enough for me :P. everything else was perfect, from the intelligent control scheme to the massive replay value. it would have to be the best top down shooter I've ever played, more then worth the $20, heck I'd pay $60 for it. this should be on everyone's list, it's a timeless classic
