Everyone should give Twinsanity a try. It's one amazing game that even beats Naughty Dog's games.

THIS IS IT!

Everyone considered Wrath of Cortex a pretty mediocre game that lacked new ideas. I liked it, but even I had to admit that it wasn't on the same level as Naughty Dog's masterpieces and there was nothing new on the table. Now, Traveller's Tales is taking a new shot in a game called Crash Twinsanity and what a success it is! There are new things, but they're not too radical and the gameplay is still very enjoyable platforming. Twinsanity is more free-roaming and it really spices up Crash Bandicoot's concept. After playing it a few hours, I already considered Twinsanity the best Crash game. And that's a huge feat.

CORTEX & CRASH TOGETHER?

Cortex stuns Coco, Crash's sister, and goes to work on his diabolic plan. He dresses up as Coco and lures Crash into his trap. Anyway, they both go down underground after a crash involving a huge robot called Mecha Bandicoot. They eventually rise back to surface, but there they meet two evil mutant parrots from another dimension. The evil parrots called Evil Twins plan on destroying Crash's and Cortex's home island. This leads to Crash and Cortex having to form an alliance, for the first time ever.

ACADEMY OF EVIL

The graphics are bright, clear and cartoonish. Characters look good and so do the environments. There are no super-many marvelous details and the game isn't a graphical masterpiece, but it generally looks good and funny. The environments include jungles, beaches, villages, icebergs, battleships and even a haunted school called the Academy of Evil where Neo Cortex reportedly studied the art of being evil. The modernized characters look great, there's not too much change and there really shouldn't be. Especially Dingodile looks great.

NEVER A DULL MOMENT

Crash Twinsanity is a free-roaming platformer. Warp Room and ten minute levels are gone, they are replaced by moving around freely towards another place and levels are replaced by chapters. Platforming is as enjoyable as it ever can be: jumping and spinning has never been this enjoyable! Some special actions include the funny humiliskate, where the player uses Cortex as an snowboard! Other one is where you clear all the traps, like TNT boxes, carnivorous plants and bear traps so Cortex won't run into them (he's usually blinded by something).

BUMBLEBEES... AAARGH!

Special mention goes to background musics. They are made by an acapella (or however the hell it's spelled) band called Spiralmouth. The musics are fitting and totally awesome, as one could say. Crash Twinsanity probably has the best soundtrack of 2000's games. And voice acting is superb, too. Lex Lang as Cortex is pure epicness and the game is all in all a really humorous and funny package.

CAN'T THE GREATNESS LAST LONGER?

One of the only weaknesses Twinsanity has is it's length. First time takes about 8-10 hours, but second time can be passed in about 5-8 hours. A less-lazy players could collect all the gems and I can say it's worth it, it unlocks cutscenes and rare concept art.

OVERALL: Crash Twinsanity is on par with Naughty Dog's games and even surpasses them. Enough said. One of the best platformers of all time.

+ Pros: Really great soundtrack, superb voice acting, near perfect gameplay, great humor, cartoonish look

- Cons: Many camera problems, could be longer

REAL SCORE: 9.7
