The whole package is okay, but certain areas such as the racing suffer.

Having played many kart racing games, I was excited to try out a new one. The whole idea of clashing with other people seemed cool as well as the adventure part. Unfortunately, I got a game that wasn't what I had expected. This game turned out to be an uninspired racing game with some adventure elements and goofy puns.

The Racing: It would be thought that this part of the game would be its main focus, but it's actually the worst part of Tag Team Racing. The courses are boring and there are extremely few items. Fortunately, a shooting element was thrown in to compliment the racing one. If you "clash" with another racer, then you'll become a larger two man kart with a turret in the back. So while one person drives, one person is fending off their rivals from getting ahead. It gets boring and repetitive after awhile but its a good idea and is enjoyable to shoot down your opponents.

The Adventure: This part of the game was at first glance not very exciting, but despite small levels, this non-linear style adventure mode captured most of my attention. To get through all 5 areas, it took around 10 hours. So its pretty short, and if done a little quicker could probably be done in around 6. But, this shortness in actuality is a good thing. Because by the last area, I was starting to get bored by the levels and wanted to game to end. The levels aren't extremely creative but you'll have the desire to reach the highest spot and collect a crystal. Overall, the adventure is cool and has some usually stupid sometimes somewhat amusing cut scenes.

To sum it up, what Crash is lacking is a more inventive racing game and a more immersive adventure. There also is no story and bad voice acting (the mouths don't move at all with the voices, just open and close randomly). But...if you put all the strange parts of Crash Tag Team Racing you get an okay game that you might find enjoyable...for 10 hours that is.
