With the new gameplay mechanics you can say that Crash of the Titans is a step towards the right way!

The original Crash Bandicoot that was released on the PS back in 1996, a was one of the first 3D platformar game and also one on the best games on the system.But with the release of the Playstation 2, Naughty Dog begin the Jak & Daxter series leaving Crash in the hands of Travellers's Tales, which are now faimous for the Lego Star Wars games.After two atempts, one in 2001 with Crash Wrath of Cortex witch stayed true to the formula but failed to impress, and the second in 2004 with Crash Twinsanity, wich this time went for a more free-roaming style.In 2005, Radical Ent. relased Crash Tag Team Racing.It was a much better game because it combined racing and platforming in one package.Now Radical Ent. has brought Crash of the titans.I can say that is a truly different game than you would aspect.I say that by the incorporeted a lot of neat and intuitive features.In this game Crash finally has a health bar, but not in the way that it will make the game verry easy because your enemies packs some series punches.
Also the game has a new fighting system with a number of combos that you can chain using the square and triangle buttons.Radical implementated a gameplay mechanic called "jacking", in which you can controll the titans after you stunned them.After you take controll of them there hud apears with a health and power meter.Each of the titans you jack have a devastating power that can be unleashed by pressing the X button.
The game story revolves around Wumpa island, where Dr.Neo Cortex steales a powerfull substance called Mojo, which he uses to mutate Wumpa Island's inhabitant's transforming them into big, scary and sharp-clawed monsters.Besides stealing the Mojo, Cortex also kidnappes Crash's sister Coco Bandicoot.And once again it Crash and Aku Aku's duty to stop Cortex from destroying Wumpa island and from hurting his sister.
The game has a variated kind of enviroments like jungles, vulcanos and mechanical ones.One thing to note is the massive size of the enviroments.It almost feels like your playing God of War, also adding the fix camera like in the series.It is a interesting feature but also could cause a few problems because it sometimes gets in the way and obscures your view in certain places.Crash of the titans is split in 3 different gameplay types:platforming, figthing and hoverboard rides.The platforming in the game is done well as it always should be it kinda more based on fighting and one the jacking of the titans.The hoverboard parts are fun and also gives the game more variety.At the end of each level of a level you will earn a voodoo doll rank of no doll rewarded, bronze, silver, or gold.Your rank can be improves in every level by defeting a set number of foes or either by destroying Cortex three spy toilets or making a good combo hit.
The game graphics are generally pretty good.Radical also made a full makeover of all the caracthers.The new models look a lot more complex and are more by the way of todays standards.The voicework is done great by the cast, the funniest voice would be for Doctor N.Gin and his constant waining.The game's lenght isn't very long leveling at only 5-6 hours on your first playtrough but there are added bonuses and achivements that that will keep you busy for a few more hours.
Overall Crash of The Titans is the best Crash game from the last year and is a step upword in the series!
