crash commando is out on the psn on the 18 december .its pretty sweet as well .it costs 7.99p..enjoy as for killzone 2 oh man i cant wait for that badboy...

i like the fact that you cant run and gun like other shooters, it forces players to think tactically about when they will move, when they will shoot, etc. its also much more realistic. Soldiers cant just run and shoot with perfect accuracy, you feel like a turret on wheels in most FPS games. I think this is refreshing

this is pretty much why i dont bother with this site anymore. mostly just to check a headline now and then. all the old reviewers are gone that were worth a damn, and there is a huge bias for MS for some reason. ever notice 360 games get the review first on every game that is multiplatform with the same release days? lol. and really who compares a pc control scheme to a controller i almost thought i fell back 10 years. i mean really who even trys to compare that anymore? GS i mourn for you and the days of the old crew and unbiased reviews. i wonder how jeff's new site is going. havent checked that in a long while. RIP gamespot

Its official. Gamespot sells out to microsoft. 360 can have a crap for a game and they would still give it good ratings. But with ps3 they suck at rating it. They really have to stop sucking bill gates C0Ck

this is ridiculous. bc it doesnt control like cod4, its no good? r6v u couldnt just float around n aim ur reticle n every bullet goes to where u put that little circle ( ie halo, from wat ive played) so its bad? its class based, the classes are done well, the pacing is good, the graphics r unbeleivable, and its getting knocked for not handling like a pc shooter? NO $%!& it doesnt theres no keyboard and mouse. reviewers need to stop comparing every aspect of its design to every other game out there n judge it based on its merits. i played the beta at consumer reports n i couldnt finda single thing that would stop me from rating this game with at least a 9 1/2. beautiful, played well, it was more realistic in its aiming which i loved, the classes are all well done and so is the clan support, u can have alarge number of ppl play at ounce.......this is honestly, ridiculous. the way they refer to r2 being the best shooter for the ps3, like thats laughable.

Honestly, this is starting to get silly. Is there no way a big PS3 game can get a fair hearing on anything to do with Gamespot anymore? I've played plenty of the beta and the finished article is only going to be better than the excellent performance of this build. Why compare it to PC games at all? Why didn't they compare the 360 version of L4D with the infinitely better PC version? It's getting daft, usually I laugh at conspiracy theories but it's way beyond that on this site these days and it's getting really cringeworthy when they can't allow themselves to praise the truly excellent just because it doesn't play on the 360(When I had a 360 it annoyed me too-I bought a few games because of reviews on 360 over PS3 ones and suffered because of it with some dross so it doesn't help anybody whatever system they have). Well done GS, for sending games "journalism" even further down the road to becoming a total laughingstock.

Hannifi thats not allways true. Console FPS's play very different from PC. But that does not mean you can't win. My aim in shooters (on the PC) sucks. I'm seriously bellow average. That does not mean i lose in a fight. We go play a 1-1 long range map (such as aim maps os CS) and I will lose allways. However good maps allow other ways to win, than just aim. (At close range even my crappy aim allows me to win). What you meant was: "A decent PC player will allways have better aim than a PS3 pro". That is true. But since killzone looks rather slow paced (its not as fast as cod 4) it gives some time to take your time and aim better. Cod 4 on PS3 plays so fast that as long as you run its very hard to get shot (compared to the PC version). Unless you walk in someone's aim. I'm a tatical player. Even on action games. On a FPS even a crappy aim player can win if he gets his enemy on the back.

i honestly doubt that the iphone will become a true portable console. yes, the games are better then most cell phone games, but cell phone games usually suck, so I don't expect them to be serious competition for the games on psp and ds. All I'm seeing are little minigames that might hold your attention for 20 min tops.

@ mlisen. Like i said, keyboard and mouse will always feel better than controllers, and i think people knew that for ages. When you review a console fps, you stick to what the console can offer, not gripe about how it feels different from a pc.

the games need to be able to be played on the move. very few people will sit at home playing games on their iphone, they will play on their pc or console at home. that makes the bowl thing pointless cuz u just look like your pretending to throw your phone

@ jhcho2, he was just stating that it would play better with mouse and keyboard, which means he felt the game didn't play just right. That doesn't make him some biased crazed hermit, he's just saying it doesn't feel optimized for controller use.

did gamespot get this hermit to review Killzone 2 just to make it look bad? As i remember, hitters like Halo 3 and Gears all made use of controllers, and i don't see any hermit being brought in to bash it. For FPSs, no controller can beat mouse and keyboard, that is a fact, and a very old fact, why bother bringing it up or even pondering on it now?

@ moush31 - it might be ridiculously similar to Soldat, but that's a good thing, because Soldat is awesome. I'd love to be able to play on my console with bots and hopefully split screen (hopefully).
