What the Heck!
You know I've got to kind of wonder as I read the average review for this game. First I notice what 'We Say' says. 6.8! This isn't that suprising considering Gamespot usually always fails to review games fairly. When, they do it seems as though they copy off of other sites. No offense to Gamespot! It's just a matter of opinion! Now, I moved on to what 'You Say' says. Average review of 7.9! This is just insane! I figured that in least all game players would agree with me. I mean when I clicked on the link to this. I expected to see what you say to be in least a high 8 or a low 9. I mean Crash Bandicoot isn't perfect. But, it borders on close. Yet, here I stare open mouthed at what you guys have to say! What is going on! Now, I move on to'they say'. This average doesn't suprise me that much. For, this simple matter Gamespot's review brings it down. I mean a 6.8 would surely bring down a average review of only 9! This review will explain why it's my personal believe that Crash Bandicoot is ranked to lowly.
Gameplay-9
The gameplay in Crash is simply great. The moment I played it I was reminded of the Mario games. Simply because I was jumping on enemies. I also felt like there was a risk involved. Unlike, in the newer 3D Mario games. Every jump, every attack, and pretty much any overall movement at all. Would tense me up immediatly. In my opinion this is what makes the game great. If every jump, every attack, and all movement didn't make me nervous. Then, there would be no point to the game at all. Sure, it's annoying when you make one measly mistake and plunge to your death down a pit. Or, you forget to jump when a enemey approaches you. But, that's what the old Mario games always did. I always found myself mad when I made a stupid mistake. To the point where I would slam the controller onto the ground. The same goes for Crash Bandicoot. I would constanly be slamming my Playstation controller on to the ground. Yes, this isn't exactly the best thing to do to a Playstation controller. But, thanks to my young age at the time I didn't possess the strength to shatter the controller. To sum gameplay up though it's simply great! Everything seems to work great. Everything is also fun!
Graphics-9
By todays standards these graphics...let's face it ...totally suck! But, back at this time these were the high standard graphics. Graphics impressed me all over the place. Enemies looked great, levels looked great, and Crash looked great! I'd go into more detail. But, then again I'm a really lazy person. So.....I'm done with graphics!
Sound- 8
Here is one thing that I didn't like about the game. The sound! In my opinion the sound was gosh awful. The game included of many of these forgetful tunes, and many tunes that you hate so much that you can't stop humming them to yourself. You countinously tell yourself to forget the song but it's so bad that it keeps on entering your mind. Which has been particularly annoying to me. Thankfully, after the loss of playing the game for 5 whole years. You tend to forget the annoying songs! Yeah!
Value-9
The value of the game is pretty decent. I'm really only saying this though. Because, of these matters. I never once thought the loading times were to long. I also never experienced any crashing of the game. When nothing happens within the game like this. It has become my personal believe that the game should recieve a 7-10. You must also take into account technical glitches. I do admit that I had a few through out my adventure. But, none of them were enough to ruin my experience of the game. So, I'm gladly giving the value of the game a 9!

Finally we reach the final part of the review. Reviewer's Tilt. I've gotta admit from what I remember of playing this game I loved it! Today I still love it! I wish I could experience it again to. For, I don't have a copy of Crash anymore. Unforantly, I can also not find a copy of Crash Bandicoot anywhere either. Sony, has actually answered my pleadings in somewhat of a matter. For, they are now offering a virtual download of the game for $8 (I believe) the only thing is first I have to buy a PS3. I also must buy something to guy online with the PS3. Then finally I can take my PSP and pay $8 online the PS3 for the game. That I can only play on my PS3. A very long and complicated process indeed! So, for now I'm afraid my Crash Bandicoot experience will serve as a mere memory! Crash is a very likeable character, the story is funny, and the game is and overall great platformer. Perhaps, when I can finally buy a PS3 I'll be able to experience this almost 'perfect' experience again!
