The graphics are simple yet endearing, the gameplay is repetitive but solid, and the game's design is a throwback to the 16-bit era.

Pac-Man World 2 is a great platform game overall, one that anybody who's into the lighthearted style of the game would do well to check out.

Frogger's adventures begin when our hero embarks on an epic quest in search of a Princess. In this next-generation version of the game, gameplay encompasses much more than simply hopping across a road. Now, players must guide the happy-go-lucky amphibian through a multitude of picturesque environments and challenging levels. In addition to climbing perilous cliff faces, swinging on dangling vines and maneuvering across multiple platforms, Frogger also has the ability to spit goobers at enemies and bloat himself with air to float over longer distances when jumping.

Ratchet & Clank skillfully avoids most of the traps that hold back the majority of modern platform games and presents a fantastic, well-balanced, story-driven adventure.

Everything in Jak II comes together to produce one of the best-looking, best-playing games on the PS2 so far.

Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando is a great game that will please both fans of the series and newcomers alike.

Psychonauts are operatives that possess psychic powers. When a crazy scientist begins abducting Psychonauts for their brains, it's up to you to put an end to it once and for all.

In Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, you follow Sly Cooper and his partners in crime as they plunder locations around the world and fight adversaries, both old and new. Sly 3 is a cell-shaded platform game involving vehicles, gadgets, and an assortment of minigames.

The game's relative ease is offset by the sheer number of weird unlockable items, and the end result is a platform game that is, above all, great fun.

Sonic Team almost seems to be daring you to try to have fun with the PlayStation 2 version by making it significantly uglier, slower, and generally just rougher around the edges than the other two versions.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, based on the number one program on kids' TV, the evil Plankton sets his most diabolical plan ever in motion, putting the fate of Bikini Bottom in the hands (or small tentacles) of three unsuspecting heroes -- SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick StarFish and Sandy Cheeks -- each with unique moves and abilities. Players will go “tongue-boarding” down huge mountains, “underwear bungee jumping” off tall cliffs or ride in a guided cruise bubble in an effort to foil Plankton's scheme.

This movie-inspired platform adventure game is being developed by the same team responsible for the Battle for Bikini Bottom.
