On a mysterious space station orbiting high above the Earth. Cortex invents a gadget to shrink the size of the earth to the size of a grapefruit. Crash sets out to stop Cortex by taking away his source to power the machine...The crystals. Crash intends to find crystals to reverse the effect of Cortex's Invention.

This game is non-linear where stage selection comes in but 5 stages in each area must be completed to go on to the next set of stages, this has been the idea since the first crash bandicoot game.

The attacks that crash has through this adventure are his signature spin, his slide for non shielded enemies and his body slam meant to clear out boxes. This game has a few collectables but the one real concern is the crystals needed to advance through the worlds. Besides the crystals, you can aquire gems by breaking all of the crates in a stage and relics by finishing a stage in time trial mode in or under a certain amount of time.There are also power ups after completing each boss in an area, each boss needs a different strategy to defeat them.

This game is very hard to complete 100% which is what would keep a person playing after finishing its story.

I would recommend this game to any platform gamer.
