The game itself is nicely presented, the advanced cell shading system, a sorta mish mash of manga and rendered 3D graphics, works realy well, it doesnt try and take itself too seriously although sets a decent tone of a run down world on its last legs. The 3d engine is definately a step ahead of the only other game you could compare this with, GTA. Although it uses cell shading, its not as cartoon intense as GTA SA was.

The gameplay is fast and fluid for the most, action is intense and nearly none stop, in fact as soon as you start the game your under attack and it can be confusing, if like me you dont read the manuals or take a tutorial and cant figure the keys out. My first con comes here, the gameplay is fun and addictive at first, but it doesnt take too long to realy hype your character into a strong super human who can pelt cars across streets and knock an enemy flying over a bridge. To me it felt too much too quick and it makes you feel like you cant go further with your characters advances.

The story well is more or less none exsistant, a future society wrecked by crime and your out there to sort it all before tea. Thats it realy, no one to connect with, no one to relate to, nothing. This was a let down to me, i personally prefer stories to a game, or least something thats involving. But where it lacks in story it makes up for in sheer fun.

Ive played around 25 hours now and let me tell you it's addicting. You can approach the game as you please, go for the big boss or his henchman first. This is where the game is quite intelligent. Say you kill a henchman first, someone who trains the big bosses guards, it will weaken the final boss, his guards will have less training and be easier to kill. This goes for several key roles, like a guy who mods cars and trains drivers for the mob boss, without him around the mob are worse at chases and tend to drive less, giving you an advantage.

Fun lasts for a decent length too, it can be a good laugh running into a crowd and throwing cars left right and centre, leaping from building to building and blasting body guards into pieces.

The music is alright although it gets boring quick. The sound effects are fine, nothing out of the ordinary and nothing exceptional.

All in all id say its an enjoyable romp which kids will definately love, the hardcore gamer might find it too short lived to realy warrent it been a classic. Theres too many "if only they added that" or "if you could do this" throughout the game.

Those who do get the game will find the wierd orb collecting strangely addictive, wierd i know but you get a drive to collect them for some reason....scary....

The Good:

- Great graphics ( even now )
- Great and fun powers
- Good Co-Op
- Hours of fun

The Bad:

- No Story
- Not alot to do once completed.
- Perhaps a little more fleshed out interms of skills.
