Who says simplistic games can't be fun? CS:S has to be one of my favorite games, and its not as complex as other games.
Money does not go all throughout the game. Its just for the one server you are in. When you die, you loose the weapons and must buy new ones. Although you have to keep buying new weapons, its extremely easy to earn money on this game. All you do is kill, or just win with your team. Actually, I think you earn money even when you don't win, or get a kill. Just not as much.
Counter Strike does have a down side. It can get fairly boring after a while. You get tired of killing and dying and waiting. Jailbreak is fun, but it too can get boring. Its not the game mostly, its the players. The players on this game are pure tryhards. They use the weapon of mass destruction. Or just call it the AWP.
This game is one of my favorites, but every now and then I have to hop off, just cause it can get pretty tiring. I do recommend it for anyone who likes Search and Destroy or Jailbreaks. Just look up gameplay and see what it's all about.
