First of all, I've been a CS player for a long time, so probably my review will be a llitle biased to cs community. I say this because I've been reading some users reviews and I gotta say, this game is certainly NOT for everything. Counter strike is a competitive shooter way harder than COD. I've seen a lot of people complaining about don't having iron sight or prone or stuff that CoD offers. Guys I gotta say, this game has been around for a long time, and it has developed a strong and professional competitive community. If valve didn't want to add those things you argue about it was because they made this game prioritizing their competitive scene. Counter strike is hard to learn for new people. However, valve simplified some mechanics on this game, in order to include people from older cs games and new people as well. Of course a CoD gamer won't feel confortable in this game. I might sound a bit biased here, but Counter Strike learning curve and skill cap is waaay harder than cod.
Also its competitive community is full of hardcore old school superstars. So, if you are not a follower of counter strike, you can give it a try, but I can't guarantee you you're gonna like this game. On the other hand, if you're a long time follower, you will understand why cs can't copy cod stuff, it would just mess up all the attraction this game offers for hardcore FPS fans. This game is a solid 9 for CS fans, even with valve mess ups in some early stages of the game, this game is awesome.
CoD gamers, abstain from this game, cause you'll get really frustrated. This game is only for hardcore gamers, not casuals.
