Too short and way too easy ruin what would otherwise be a Superb RPG.

Costume quest is a Halloween based RPG from Tim Schafer's Double Fine productions. It's insanely simple, but also insanely fun.

The story starts with two siblings fighting over who's older, and then who should be in charge of the two when they go out Trick-or-treating. At this point you can choose to play as either the boy or the girl. Once you choose who'll you'll play as, you go out trick or treating. Then your sibling is kidnapped by an ugly toadish creature. And then, guess what? Yep, you guessed it, you have to rescue him/her or else you'll be in big trouble. The story really never branches out as anything more, you meet some friends but the story is extremely predictable.

Graphics are adorable. Character models aren't too detailed, but they look so cute.

Gameplay is super simple. You could never have played an RPG before and still easily get the hang of this game. There are 3 worlds to travel in, each has there own set of quests. From apple bobbing to dressing up in a fry costume to lure people to a restaurant.

Everything about the game is fantastic gameplay, grapchis, everything. The problem is though, it's way too short. I finished everything in the game within about 4-5 hours. It's also far too easy, I only found myself losing one battle.

Still, this is a must play. Though I'd recommend waiting awhile and see if the price drops. Otherwise, you be the judge if you're willing to spend $15 on a game that will last you a day.
