Costume quest is filled with an awesome Halloween atmosphere, some very colourful visuals and funny dialogue. Sadly, the dialogue is only text, the is no voice acting. The production value is top notch and the gameplay is refreshing compared to old turn-based RPGs. Combat uses quicktime event for critical hits and for dodging attacks witch keeps the mechanics exciting until the end of your adventure.

You'll get to collect many things like Combat Stamps that will give you different bonuses in battle and Creepy Treat Cards witch are only there to serve as collectibles. They're really funny though. The highlight of the game is the different costumes you can wear in and out of battle. Each one of them has a different special attack and ability.

On the negative side, the game lacks depth, is very short and very easy. I took me about 5-6 hours to finish it 100%. But, if your in for a fun time, the game definitely gives you that. I've had a lot of fun with Costume Quest and I feel that it was well worth my 15$.
