Better then the arcade version

I have one of those Konami arcade machines with 20 classic games and played through Contra again. The NES version is overall better, graphics are not as good but the gameplay is actually better, the levels are better designed (arcade has the whole second half od the game condensed into one level for example) and the boss fights are better. That is a rarity at the time, usually arcade modes were way better then home back then.

I am green with envy at the moment. What other games does it have on it???

Yeah, some NES ports are better than the arcade version when we're talking about Konami.
