beautiful game, but....

DQVIII is an amazing and unique game, you won't find another game like this, with such beautiful graphics, sidequest, items, and the huge amount of things you can do, but if only the battle system were any good, it'd be one of the best rpgs. It annoys me a little that playing such a wonderful game but getting bored at the same time; battles are boring, skills are useless (i had to be on level 30 or so to get the only skill that served me well, and that was the only one i used), magic is ok, but it could be a lot better, enemies were quite strong sometimes, but that didn't annoyed me that much
overall it's a very good game, considering the large amount of things you can do, but playing something that is beautiful but boring at the same time it's not a good combination
