Conflict Vietnam: The name says it all.

I played all the other games in the conflict series and I they were well made and quite enjoyable. However, Conflict Vietnam left me with some mixed feelings. True to the other games in the series CV was a squad based action military shooter, which puts you in command of three highly trained soldiers who know how to lay down a huge amount of that old fashion butt kicking, no problem there. Like the others, CV places a good variety of weapons at you disposal, the tools of war in place, no problem there. The enemy AI made them a force to be reckoned with and they use every opportunity and weapon in their arsenal to place you and team in a postmortem situation, no problem there. The sound FX and music was true to that era and was very well done, no problem there. The background visuals, the jungle, the war-ridden cities the vehicles all very nice, no problem there. Your main characters design, now here in lies the problem. The design of the mean characters and I guess all the characters in the game, both ally and foe were to me not quite to standard, the background and everything in it were detailed and realistic, but the character designs were ugly and undefined. This is one of the things that gamers tend to like to see some improvement in as the series progress. The storyline was some what dark and the end was a bit of a let down, but you must find out for yourself. Overall though the game is lots of fun especially when played with friends, and should not be missed
