Silverly underrated - GS seem intent on writing bad reviews of the conflict series. I disagree!!!
story: as the story suggests you are "back to Baghdad" for this one the story is set in the early 90 's Iraqi under its ruthless overlord Saddam Husein, has invaded neighbouring Kuwait in order to steal old and other things, the UN give him 24 hours to withdraw he doesn't and un and allied troops are sent in to remove him, as the conflict escalates an American black-hawk helicopter is shot down inside an Iraqi controlled town, in this you're first mission you are sent in to rescue the crew of this helicopter. the story also goes into the burning of the oil fields, Saddam's chemical weapons and the supper guns of Baghdad!
Gameplay: the gameplay is quite complex for a novice and is hard to pick up, however once you get used to the idea of controlling four players at once it allows the use of the players initiative to employ you're own tactics for every situation by commanding your squad. each squad member can be controlled individually in a third person style or you can use one of you're team to order the rest about, there are many commands which include: come here, lie prone, crouch, hold your fire, fire at will, give gun to and use medkit on, these commands can be mixed together like crouch and come here i which the selected team member will move to you're position you by crawling.
there are also vehicle's such as the jeep or the M2, most vehicles have four seats on for each member in the jeep for example there is the drivers seat, the 20 cal machine gun, a rear facing seat and a forward facing seat, the drivers seat controls movement of the vehicle the 20 cal is the only weapon on the jeep and is operated by one member of your team, when in the other two seats the team members will use their normal weapons. you can move your team members around inside the jeep, and can control any of them.
graphics are not much improved from C:ds but are still perfectly acceptable.
my only problem was that you never feal part of the bigger conflict going on around you, the developers have fixed this in Conflict Vietnam!
i would recommend this game to any one!!!
