Comandos games are some high quality stuff , ao what is the problem with making a generic wwii fps shooter?

the whole idea would not have been so bad if not for....

well, actually most of the game.

to start, graphics look horrible, almost like a cruddy ps1 game. textures are muddy, and character models are just plain ugly.

weapons look ok, but sound ussless, and except for the bolt action and the sniper rifle have no zoom/ aim feature what so ever. this would not have been so bad if the aiming mechanism was any good, but it is so hard to aim that most of your rounds miss. with the sniper rifle, looking through the scope is like looking through the bottom of a glass, things look round blurry and distorted. also with the reloding sysyem, you cant relod in the middle of a clip and keep the excess ammo. it is simply disgarded. this means that unless you want to loose valuable bullets, you will have to charge a room with 10 bullets in your machinegun, which will all probably miss thanks to horrible aiming.

voice acting is disjointed, and sounds dumb.

through the campaign, you control 2 of the 3 characters ( actually, you controll 1 at a time, but can switch between guys at will) while each character has specialties ( green beret can stab, and carry more weapons, spy has a silenced gun and can disguise himself, and the sniper can well, snipe, swim and throw knives) , but all act the same.

overall, this game seems rushed, and i am sure with a bit more thought ( maybe some effort) and refinement, this game would add nicely to the flooded wwii shooter market.
