One of the best strategy games around. Great fun LAN and offline, but the online mode suffers from poor orgaization.
First off, the gameplay. This game plays like a diamond in the rough. Great graphics, cool animations...but this all comes at a price. Letting you build unlimited ammounts of units for your army, GINROMOUS lag can creep it's way into your three hour game. So bad a times it is running at about 1 FPS. But if you have a good computer, then there might not be a problem, but I warned you. While it does have its flaws, C&C is an emensly deep game even for its genre, and has hundrens of strategys to use against your opponent. Tons of units for each of the three "Generals" has now been broken down and there are three sub catagories to choose from on top of the average U.S., China, or GLA. Like the U.S. Airforce commander, the China Tank commander, or the GLA toxin general. Each have new units and several new powers that can be very useful when it comes to combat, or defending.
uhe game includes , helicopters, hummers, pickup trucks, missle trucks, dune buggys, rocket infantry, infantry, nuke trucks, battle tanks, Giant tanks, medic hummers, toxic tractors, toxic infantry, there are so many units i cant remember a fourth of them

Now the graphics. As I have said before, the graphics are great, but lag when a huge army is made. Shadows, explosions, buildings being created, all look amazing. Even attention to small details like the level and trees, and bushes, water. All are top notch strategy models.
The sounds are also very well done, including a voice that helps you know if you are under attack, when a building is being finished, or when a new unit has been made. Each unit also has a distinct sound and firing wav that'll alert you what your up against. The Value is great. A long campaign for each of the three sides, and challenges await. But I had most fun playing with a friend against a set number of computer players.. Whatever you like in a strategy game, C&C has it. So don't look around it's very low retail price and go for the expansion pack with the normal game. It's a great game waiting to have alot of fun.
