Hackers and a complicated renting system make this massive online shooter from getting a high score.

User Rating: 7 | Combat Arms PC
Combat Arms is a giant online multiplayer shooter by Nexon, the creators of the highly addictive Maple Story. You can play as 1 out of 4 soldiers, rise up in the ranks, and "rent" guns, and fight people on huge maps in huge battles.

There are over 10 maps, and each has their own unique layout and design, but some of the maps sort of look similar and start to get repetitive after awhile, except 2 which never get old.

There are about 4 matches, the typical Elimination, Capture the Flag, Search & Destroy, and One Man Army, each is unique and should all be tried out to pick the favorite, mine is Search & Destroy.

It has a few good things in it, but this is where the flaws come in. Almost every match you go into you'll encounter hackers who aimbot and glitch into walls, making them IMPOSSIBLE to kill, which later gets frustrating which makes your team lose in the process.

If your game is hacker free then it usually is a fun experience you'll enjoy for a couple of matches. Now, the renting system, which is probably the biggest letdown in this huge game. You can rent a weapon or a piece of clothing, and instead of keeping it forever you can choose if you want to buy if for 1 day, 7 day, 14 day, and 90 days, and the higher the more expensive and making it highly unlikeable to afford since of the steep prices.

When your item runs out of time for use, you get a message saying that it is, and that is always a disappointment to me, especially if i fully customized the weapon, and it was really expensive, and very good in combat.

Aside from these problems, you likely have a wonderful time playing this huge online shooter. One very good thing that tops the ante is that the whole game is FREE, yes usually online FPS aren't free, like some other shooters out there.

There have been a few patches since I installed it on my computer, and each one gets better, usually giving new maps that get better, and improving the graphics which look very good now.

Looks like Nexon has gotten back into charging NX Cash to players now, oh well. These problems and good things average this game out to an 8 instead of a 9, because of hackers and the horrible renting system.

Overall I think it is better than Maple Story because that practically took away my whole life. This isn't as addicting, but if you have nothing to do you'll keep coming back to this wonderful online shooter, like I have been. A 7 out of 10.
