Its like a Photoshop, just cheaper. Which is all good.
Anyway, Colors!3D is simply amazing. Its easy to use and pretty cheap compared to the professional art programs that you find on PC which often are difficult to use.
Colors!3D has a very basic user interface that is easy to navigate and easy to get right to drawing your first 3D painting. The art tools that you are given seem pretty simple at first. You get; the normal paint tool, an eraser, a spray like tool, and a tool that I havent yet used, I should probably use it. But then the tools can get you into a deep artist experience with the two sliders that control the size of the brush and the transparency of it. Not only that, but combine that with the other features that you can use while paint, such as 3D layers (up to 6 layers I think), and undo/redo along with other amazing features. The undo/redo feature really surprised me. Not only can you quickly undo a mistake quickly by pressing the L trigger, but you can do it for what almost seems indefinitely. From my experience with other art programs such as MS Paint and Photoshop, you are limited to a certain number of undos. So Colors!3D really blows the competition out of the water with that feature.
Lets say your friends are over and they want to give you pointers on your 'work in progress' painting but you dont want them all looking over your shoulder. Well there will be no need for that, if they have a 3DS of course (with Colors!3D too). Colors!3D also comes with multi-painter (see what I did there?), which is a feature that allows your friends to join in on the fun of helping you (or them) paint a master piece. I havent gotten to use that feature so Im not sure how it works so I cant review that part.
Now lets say you have zero artistic ability and zero patience to even doodle. Well, by buying Colors!3D you get access to a massive online art gallery for free! Pretty much. You can view, favorite, comment, and even watch how someone's art piece was done. The art work on there is really amazing.
So in summary,
Your an artist? Get it! Its good.
Your not an artist? Get it! Its good.
