Just not addictive enough

This game looks great, but for some reason I just found myself bored with it. The levels are different and varied as you drive through the different stages. You really have to drive a great stage to keep up with the leaders. I guess it's hard to motivate yourself to drive when you don't play against other players, only against the clock. You have chances to upgrade you car but these are chances are given by little mini games and if you fail you don't get an upgrade. All in all, the game is very solid, looks great and plays just like a rally game should, but then again who wants to drive around great looking levels on their own? Lack of variety on this game!
