Cold Fear

Cold Fear Left Me Mostly Seasick. Graphics are fair to ok and the play was very slow in spots.

I eagerly anticipated the release of Cold Fear and bought it the day it hit the shelves. I rushed home to play it and was almost instantly disappointed. The game is set on a ship that has been floundering in the sea. Apparently they have been dredging some form of alien life up from the bottom which has killed most of the people on the ship. Those left alive are infected or need to be killed because they are trying to kill you.
I found the game to be graphically only fair to good and the gameplay was fairly slow. The shooter action however made up a lot of points because boy could you ever blow the crap out of things good. I also gave several creepiness points because that is half the fun of the game. I rated it good overall, but definitely not worth the money I forked out for it on the first day. I probably will not play it again.

  Cold Fear manages to cover up its shortcomings quite well despite a seeming lack of inspiration and poor execution.
