I played this game and at first, i thought it was a ripoff of Resident Evil 4. As i got further into the game, i realized that the story is different and the setting is as well and some of the characters. Cold Fear is a survival horror game about a man named Tom who is sent to investigate a Russian Ship. There, he finds all kinds of different horrors. The gameplay reminds me of the Resident Evil games though, except that the controls kinda suck. You always run into something because the controls change mainly because of the damn joysticks. The controls had a confusing part to the game. In the game, pretty much the only way to kill these zombies is to blow their head off for good and i'm glad they put this feature in. Because now it feels more like survival horror cuz it's much more challenging. Whenever you go through a door and you're going the right path, the save system appears and you can choose to save your game. You can't save whenever you want which helps the scariness. Although, this game isn't as scary as Dead Space or Doom 3 or the Resident Evil games. This will for sure send a chill down your spine. I think they should've added way more bosses than they did especially because of the genre. You get a small variety of weapons. There's also a lot of backtracking. That's obvious, because the whole game takes place on a ship so what do you expect? At the very end, you finish the game thinking that you went through a trip that wasn't exactly an unforgettable journey. But you will get enough thrills from the game.
