To parkurtommo, this is supposed to be a made up story line... Its not based on any facts.. It is NOT supposed to be historically accurate..

I completely agree with all of your comments, I have the game and my opinion is that its completely surrealistic because its comepletely against the soviet union and one thing i noticed was that in one of the videos before a mission it showed a lot of europe being taken over by the soviet union but Norway was never taken over by them, one mistake of many, thanks for reading.

gijas strangly enough the number 1 threat to world peace might well actually be the one with the gaul to call other countries it doesnt like "evil" __MuLder__ people can yap about their political view where ever they like, though i personally wasnt on about polotics in my comment, i'm just bored by the usa saves the world thing, they could just as easily been the ones to fire first

one bad thing about this game is that it gives you the choice of playing 10 USA missions and 3 Soviet missions... Why that? In WW2 it's 97% of the world against the axis, that's why all the games are with the side of the Allies. In Cold War all had and have their proffered sides... PS: World in Conflict did a very good thing on releasing the "Soviet Assault" just because of this matter.. Like one of the game's creators said.. Soviet Union is not a nameless horde

I think everybody that has a political view needs to stfu and go express your damn feelings on a political website, then all you can argue and get all your frustrations out all you want. Get your facts straight and realize every country has issues, nobody is perfect. Like Jay said, talk about the game....not what it is or isn't based off of. That said, I've been waiting for this game for quite some time, IGN gave it a rather dissapointing review score. I played the demo, It was a bit choppy....but gameplay was fun. I hope this turns out.

Now it comes down to what the US have done in the past, interfear in other countries wars. the US will pull together to better them selves, an stay out of other countries trouble, that is how it should be. Also what does this have to do with the game??? nothing so talk about the game. I think it looks good I have a pre oder for it with EB.

And if the Americans are so good why don't they stop the genocide in Gaza. They don't want to becouse Izrael is atacking...and as we all know JEW's are very important to USA economy....So its all about interest....

to danny_window Do you really think that USA is doing well in Iraq. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have thus far produced 300,000 psychological casualties, 320,000 brain injury casualties, plus 35,000 (probably understated) officially reported "normal" casualties. This adds up to 655,000 US casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan, an average of just under 101,000 Americans killed or wounded every year since the wars began. So 101,000 casualties per year is not really ok!And they are fighting only for oil and not for the people like they say so that everybody can say Americans saves the World from terrorism.

This game does look good. Only World on Conflict could march its' visuals for a wargame in this period. Might just get this one. As for polititcal views, rememeber we are all from different countries and have different perspectives. Game on.

wel actaully they did fight in afghanistan before the us but because they were loosing with no chance of winning they pulled out. then the yanks go in thinking they can win, there in the sam situaton as the russians. but iraq is going ok for them, they got sadam and the oil and are killin most of the fighters

The Russian Federation a threat to world peace? Yeah, they're the ones fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and threatening Iran. There will be a return of the Cold War, but far more complex than most folk realize...or have you forgotten China and North Korea?

What do you mean tired? Russia was and still is our # 1 threat to world peace.

penpusher 27 pts

lovely, another cold war scenario in which russia is the one who broke and made the first strike and the usa merely responded. I dont know about anyone else but i'm getting slightly bored of this america saves the world routine that a lot of games go through :(
