I just put in about 30 minutes with my copy and I must say that I am really impressed! It is a pretty game and seems complex enough to keep the beat-'em formula from getting stale too quickly, while not being so complicated as to make combat cumbersome. It seems like there are some nice extras and unlockable content as well.

Anybody else have some early opinions they'd like to share now that they have a copy in hand?

Well i feel abit on the opposite side. The only time u see 3D is during the gameplay, no 3d at title screen or menu or even the animation. The gameplay seen a bit slow for me compare the gunstar heros (maybe because i havent max out my stat fro my characters), sometime it feel a little stiff.

Was hoping like a classic beatem up like from stage to the boss then to stage but here is more mission base and, so u dont progress from one to the another beside going to different mission. Other than that so far im getting used to the gameplay, and enjoy it so far

(i kind of not like the moving between 3 plane, i perfer to be able to walk freely)

Ive had the game since last wednesday and Ive been able to put a bit of time in it. Overall, Guardian Heroes is definitely the better game. I know GH has slowdown, but code of princess is a modern game, so huge framerate dips are pretty inexcusable. I noticed a lot more slowdown with the 3d slider on (i think), so as a precaution I just keep it 2d the whole way.

Game plays pretty similarly, though, so if you like GH you'll dig it. Another thing that kinda irks me is the item system. Im not sure how far I am, but most new items seem to be pretty useless and not worth buying. Maybe it gets better?

    Anyway, my two cents.

Game has been getting pretty low user reviews I did not know there was a frame rate problem, Maybe that and the line system is what people don't like. How is online? I still thinking of getting it if that portion is at least as fun as the co op Resident evil games.

Just got it today and tinkered around with it for a bit. First issue I ran across (outside language barrier) was definitely the framerate. It looks so smooth during cutscenes but once the fight starts it takes an ugly dip .

Sad because the rest of the game looks real fun.

We can only hope they'll fix the frame rate issue before releasing the game here.

Has anyone tried wifi? I'm curious to see how netplay is for this game.

Also I must say the soundtrack in this game is awesome. The game itself is actually starting to grow on me a little as well.

Now that I've had it for almost a week, I find that one of the things that I do not enjoy is how small the characters are, especially when the camera pulls back. I often use my 3DS when I'm commuting on the train and CoP can be hard on the eyes. I found Senran Kagura to be considerably more enjoyable as far as the size of the characters and the smoothness of control.

I suppose that has more to do with the size of the 3DS screen than anything, but, seriously, you shouldn't make a game for a platform if it doesn't fit, right?

I don't see why they couldn't have just added a button for zooming .

Also I tried out online a bit and I wish they would have added a universal grab or high-low mix-up of some sort.

I can tell this game was going to get low reviews its a lower budget game than GH and I knew it wasn't going to be as good. That being said I still love it but the framerate is a problem and from the earlier vids I expected it.

This game would have been a lot better as an psn download title, but I can see they wanted this on an handheld to help sell people on buying one. Then again i'm happy its on 3ds as I can take it on the go.
