code of honor 3 is a sign that UNLIKE many game developers which take ages to make sequels good. you can make progress

code of honor 3 is by no means a modern warfare or operation flash point gaming quality contender. but i consider it still good. this is because UNLIKE modern warfare or battlefield franchises they have IMPROVED DRASTICALLY. for those who haven't played the previous two let me sum them up. solid story (improving as it goes), poor voice acting, decent array of weapons, improving game mechanics, and finally solid AI (for the time of release) visually speaking the last two were also very poor, barely worth the time of comparing to medal of honor AA and doom3. now code of honor has risen from the graves screaming blood vengeance and desperate measures is just that.

visually speaking the game is roughly on par now with games such as rainbow 6 Vegas and black site area 51 (i couldn't fine a better example). optimization is okay and it always brings you in. however it also constantly uses shadows and lighting to hide where the corners were cut (if you can find them).

audio wise this game has taken steps forward that i dare say compare to the first lunar landing. they have moved up from REALLY bad scratchy Americans not trying to play french legionnaires to decent hired voice acting and decent dialogue. however again they cut a lot of corners (too many in my opinion) to avoid censorship. such as 25 well armed bad guys (who in Sam Hill says bad guys any more). guns sound like they should and enemies pass generic foreign language banter to one another.

game play: here is where code of honor takes two steps forward and then two right back. on the positive side you have fluid motion a lean motion so fluid and proper it puts modern warfare and operation flash point to shame. this one you might ya know actually use. the Famas is your weapon of choice for most fights mainly because it has such high ammo cap. and doubles as a sniper rifle. this isn't to say you cant use the others because you will its just. they all lead you back to your Famas. AI responds well and to some extent is a little challenging. the level design uses a lot of generic places. office complexes, caves, construction sites, rain slicked city streets, docks, an airport.
the one new one is the first level which is an homage to the hidden level in modern warfare 1 aboard the plane with the hostage situation. it uses roughly the same layout and those who have played that level will like what they've done with the place.
now this game is short really short like 21 levels tops. but while your there its a blast.
city interactive don't lose this momentum! make a code of honor 4 and improve where i note you could have the next modern warfare sitting on your desks!!
