A great game if you just give it a chance!
In Clonk Endeavour, you control your character, a clonk, and do all in your means to complete your goal. The goals can range from collecting all the gold in the map to defeating your opponent in combat.
Building your town can be quite a challenge but a lot of fun. You need to build each individual building but need the correct materials for each of them. Metal and wood are your staple. A lot of the time you need to mine for explosives, flint, and blow up giant hunks of iron in the ground, smelt them, and there you have your iron.
In every map you start with a base or a personal house if you will. On top of your house lies a flag, with this flag, when you are inside the base you are able to sell items you have collected on the map, sell your gold, and buy accessories and construction packs, which you need for buildings. Here you are also able to purchase additional members to your team of clonks.
Clonk Endeavour is now a free game for download by anyone. This game was originally German and most online play is with them but its still a great game, best to play with a buddy but their are single player missions and objectives to complete.
There are also many expansions or packages to make the game even greater, you are able to play as a Mage and bring the will of a dragon under your control to defeat the other Mage. You can play as a westerner and create your own Colt to bring down the Natives. You can play as a Knight and save the captured Princess taken away by an evil Wizard.
If any of these don't work for you, you can always create your own map and challenge your friends to a game. This is a game that has not been given as much credit as it deserves. Great Game!
