A great game that you will surely enjoy

User Rating: 8.5 | Clock Tower 3 PS2
Clock Tower 3 is the best installment so far in the clock tower series. It involves a well-built stoyline and it also includes unique settings and characters.

The game starts with a cutscene with admirable graphics. You take contol after a man in a suit exits the room leaving Alyssa, the main character, behind. The controls are much easier than the previous installments, and new features have been added.

In the previous installments of the Clock Tower series, moving the main character and investigating different objects can only be only done when clicking around the screen. In Clock Tower 3 however, we gain control of the main character using the analog to go in any direction we want. This makes it a lot easier to control unlike the other series.

Instead of a health meter, a panic meter is used in the game to determine Alyssa's status. One hit when the panic meter is full will make Alyssa die. Although the panic meter raises quickly, items like Lavander Water can calm her down.

Boss Battles in Clock Tower 3 are made easy since enemies usually make a stance or mock you once in a while, giving you a chance to shoot using your bow. Your weopon automatically aims in the enemy, but changing your position while aiming is not possible.

Riddles and puzzles are very easy to solve and does not require much thinking. The only thing making it hard is that enemies may appear once in a while and chase you. Making the bosses disappear require an evade item or hiding place. You can also use Holy Water to blind the enemy for a few seconds.

Cutscenes are very dramatic, and sometimes look like as if they're doing a play. Graphics are good too and the storyline was well thought of.

During the second playthrough, the game gets harder. Costumes are unlocked and bosses get new weopons. They run faster during the game and boss battles get more difficult.

It is really a fun game to play again and again. Seeing what new weopons the enemies have is a bit exciting. All in all, the game gets an 8.5.
