A break from the norm...quite a game let me tell you...its only people who appreciate this sort of thing that like it...

I was running after games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, The Thing and Ghost Hunter one day....then I came across this little gem of a game....

At first I thought this was a girly girly kind of game...but the mature rating persuaded me to buy it...and it did say there were scenes of graphic violence...

The scariness of the game first hit me with the opening movie...where you see a charred doll lying across the floor, upon which an evil man steps...this was quite horrifc at first, but wonderfully portrayed and graphically designed...

You play the role of Alyssa, a kind, happy and cheerful little girl who attends boarding school...only upon receiving an alerting letter from mummy dear is this girl pushed into a worold of ghouls, ghosts and menacing people...she will have to unravel the mystery behind all these incidents, and the reason of her mothers' dissappearance...as well as the presence of the diabolical evil man........

This game is not something like resident evil or silent hill...where you can litrally blast/kill/murder your foes, (you can kill minor enemies by completing tasks, and the bosses but using weaponary like a magic bow and arrow) but the scariest bits are sudden and unexpected...for example, the sledghammer guy who is hell bent on murdering Alyssa upon first sight, is seen pummeling another little girl called May....also, the blood-drenched spirit of May is later seen playing a blood splattered piano (a hobbie of May...though not in a blood splattered state, let me tell you)....

The music is at times quite good...I especially like the Piano music throughout the first part of the game....it is rather pleasant, but at the same time ironically eerie...we later find it is Mays' spirit who is playing it...but for an eerie reason......when Alyssa gets into a panic attack, or is pursued by enemies, it chages to a frenzy mode to help you get out of the situation...

The graphics are eally very good...all charcters are highly rendered, and so are the environments...I like the approach to the Concert Hall the best....

Overall i like this game....the dialgues are good and so is the gameplay...the storyline is really immersive...sometimes it makes you sad, whilst other times it is scary, and sometimes funny too.....I have only played the first level yet, but I think the rest of the game is going to be very good too....I wouldnt say it gives you the heebie jeebies like Silent Hill, but it is certainlly more scarry and suspenseful than Resident Evil....and the story line is more acceptable than the typical I-feel-like-murdering-zombies-today norm....
