Usually you can rely on Capcom

User Rating: 5.5 | Clock Tower 3 PS2
This game is a case against that point. Capcom has been known for it's survival horror genre and making it much better then it used to be. Capcom is also known for using the same elements that made 1 or 2 games a success over and over and over and over again to see if it will sell. This is the problem with Clock tower 3. This is what makes it boring, because we've already done things like this in RE 1 through 3. The best part of the game is the CG movies. Those graphics are excellent. They movies are gripping and really get you wanting to play the game. The in game movies and the actual game play, not so fun.

Basically your a you girl (about 15 but you look 21) that goes back to your house from boarding school to find out why your mom told you not to come back. Your Mom is gone and there is a weird old child likeing man there. The story moves very slowly from there.

Combat is poor in this game, although it's not the emphisis in this game, it's still poor. Since combat isn't the emphesis in this game your ability to hide should be good. Well it's not, attempting to avoid conflict in this game is even worse then engagning in combat. Not to mention the over all game play is rather poor. The camera angles and button set up as well as lag time are poor. There is very little music in the game, and while there is very little, the music that is there is poor. The sound also suffers and it's rather annoying at time. The voice acting and overs are also poor, plus the young girl does way too much screaming. This is really really annoying. Over all if you are looking for something to bide your time before the next big horror game come out Clock Tower 3 may keep your taste buds at bay. But over all the game is boring, annoying, and poorly uses the PS2's abilities. Another mediore game put out by Capcom that steal stuff from it's own Resident Evil series. My advise for hard core gamers looking for a good time is just to wait for the next big title.
