Certainly not for everyone, but it will please some fans of the genre.

I found this game at a bargain price of 9£, and as I had no other survival horror games to play at the time, I decided to buy it and give it a go.

The story is pretty good and involves you from beginning to end. The gamplay can get a bit frustrating at times, but is at the same time very refreshing and adds to an enjoyable horror experience. You can hardly fight, but are rather forced to hide from your enemies. Only boss battles are fought out, and though they are rather clumsy, they work as you get the hang of it.

The graphics are pretty good, but really not the best in the genre. The ghosts are not scary at all as they are mostly in primary colors (why?), but the murderers that are after you are both scary and nicely designed. The other characters look good too and are very believable (and very british).

The soundtrack is pretty good and has a nice gothic feel. The sound effects do their job, but nothing extraordinary. The voice acting is pretty good (and VERY british).

Not the longest game around, but worth playing through a couple of times as there are several unlockables, endings and secrets.

A nice addition to the horror genre, though the gameplay can get a bit stale. Thankfully the story is well above average and will keep you from laying this game away.
