The kind for old school rpg lovers, but not for me.

I was really excited to see a class-related kind of rpg game and this one looked promising. After the title and introduction, you're brought to a menu where you can either choose the pre-made students or make your own. The unique thing about this is the random bonus points you get for enrolling a student(add to their stats) and the different variety of majors(types) of student you can create. I spent quite sometime just creating it, because that was the only really appealing part of the game.

Afterward you do school related quest and get to one where you start exploring labyrinths, which all look quite repetitive. That's where it started going downhill for me. I accepted the fact that the characters are just portraits during interaction in the school and basically have no personality whatsoever, but even no real character movement I expected in a rpg was a disappointment. It didn't stopped there though, in the labyrinths, even the way you move within it was frustrating, you have the choice of moving up, down, left or right in first person mode. The movement isn't fluid at all, and they could have at least let you have different views of moving within it. That had me checking my maps so many time to see if I was going the right way. The battle mode is old school turn based, but the characters are still just stills and the enemies barely move either. You'll be mashing your X button so much it's a wonder it hasn't broken yet.

Graphics are mostly stills, but very bland in the labyrinths, everything seems to look the same. Sound is okay, not really anything special, though they kept the Japanese voice in the characters. It's pretty easy, but you'll be doing a lot of level grinding in the beginning. The storyline isn't that great, but overall if you're into old school rpg it might be for you.

Graphic: 5/10 (nothing special, no character movement)
Controls: 4/10 (will be pressing X most of the time)
Sound: 7/10 (standard)
Difficulty: 7/10 (pretty easy, lots of level grinding)
Game play: 5/10 (not my thing)
Value: 4/10 (wouldn't play it again)
Overall: 5/10
