Sid Meier's Civilization II

This classic is still fun to play today. It should go down in the annals of gaming history as the greatest ever!

I'll give an uncharacteristic overall summary style review, as this game is 10 years old at the writing of this review. Few games have stood the test of time like Civilization II has. The customization, the scenarios put together by loyal CivFanatics... All these factors make the game one that endures. The soundtrack is immersive, the gameplay is deep, and the game itself is an absolute treasure. Even today one can have hours of fun with it. There are more user-created scenarios to Civ2 than one can possibly play in their lifetime. There's light years more depth, and breadth than its predecessor, and this game deserves a spot in the "greatest of all time" category. Sid Meier has done for the gaming industry what Moses did for the slaves of Egypt.
