5 years in the making certainly pays off.

What a game. Chrono Cross is the 2nd, and what seems to be the final installment in the Chrono series. It begins with Serge, a 17-year-old boy from Arni who discovers another dimension, that's right, dimension, not world, or time, or anything less abstract than the subtle differences in dimension. This makes for a very appealing, and complex story that will impress the unimpressible, and leave you a changed person (in a good way, hopefully.) If you're not used to this kind of role-playing game yet, then you may have some difficulty connecting with the overall style of gameplay at first, because Chrono Cross' new battle system, which is truly unique in its own right, is downright mind-boggling at times. You'll understand what I mean when you see for yourself. Once you've learned the basics from Radius or what have you, you'll probably like the complexity of it, and grow to love it as I have, if you're still unsatisfied after several hours in to the game, don't push it, I guess. If you don't play this game for anything else but the story, which I think we all need to give kudos towards whether you got it or not, then this game is worth all the battling you hopefully'll grow attached to. I really don't see any major flaw with the gameplay, except for maybe the vitality system, which I've never really quite understood, because it always seems to have something about it that doesn't add up so to speak, so I'll have to deduct points on that, unfortunately. Mom, I can't clean my face, because I've been trippin' on Chrono Cross' psycadelic graphics again. Seriously, this game has some pretty unique use of the camera and such, make sure you have good lighting... ...There are some rough patches in the graphics department that you may or may not notice, also there seems to be a fair amount of slowdown, which takes away from the pleasure of the gameplay and music at times, as well. Props for Chrono's detail, however. The music is something else. Like I said about this game's complex, and compelling, and, philosophical story-line, play for the music if not for the gameplay, believe me, it pays off, 'brudda from another mother, and father, which I guess makes you my 'coz... ...Play Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross, Chrono Cross. Peace.
