Chrono Cross is the best console-style RPG I've ever played. I've read the "alternate opinion" that was until recently posted along with the Full Review and I can't believe someone could judge this game based on a demo. Good thing they removed it. This game is great in every way. It has a great story, great gameplay and unique combat system that is a hybrid of standard console-style and turn-based systems. Sound and graphics are great and make use of everything Playstation console can do. Although it may not seem that way in the beginning this game is a direct sequel of the SNES RPG Chrono Trigger.
There is not much else to say about this game since it is almost perfect in every way. The thing I can complain about is the fact that there are very few indication about what you should do next. In some cases, there is nothing else to do but wander the world until something important happens in a place where you've already been.
