Just did the Solt & Peppor fight at Isle of the Damned, was gonna capture a ton of Earthquake, ThundaStorm & grab Golem too.
Anyways, I guess you can only have one trap out at a time? You couldn't say, lay an Earthquake trap and then immediately a ThundaStorm trap, and they would both be in effect?

No, the ThundaStorm trap would override the Earthquake trap.

Yeah, it's a bummer. I wasted a trap or two that way trying it out too. (different fight, though) If you can find a faq detailing the usual progression of an enemies ways, sometimes you can trap one element, then set the next trap and get another.

Only the currently used trap would be in effect but its also possible to trap more then 1 copy of that said spell.
After all during the Bunyip Battle starts out Red I abused its red form to get at least 5 or so Inferno/Volcanno's trap both spells successfully 1 time ran away and repeat the fight over and over.

Is it dependent on the colour whether multiple can stay up, or just only one period?
ie. Can you lay one red trap and one blue trap, but can't lay two yellow traps at once?

Its just 1 trap period so only the current trap would be in effect so if you laid a thunderstorm and earthquake trap in the same turn only the earthquake one would be in effect.
