- Jan 22, 2013 6:36 am GMTThen again with all these crappy equipment good luck beating even any of the elemental dragons before their attack all elements kill everybody at once and you won't have time to Magic Negate the entire party either.
- Jan 22, 2013 11:15 am GMTY'know, in retrospect, I should have chosen the rod, but I really didn't want to pass up Pierre.
Wait, are there even any rod users in that part of the game? If you were thinking of Spriggan or Radius, neither of those can actually equip the bone rod. This is actually the reason I picked Slash/Nikki as my guide (or should have; I had to hack the bone pick in because I also thought Spriggan or Radius would be able to use the rod), just so I could have Irenes for Garai and Miguel.
Then again with all these crappy equipment good luck beating even any of the elemental dragons before their attack all elements kill everybody at once and you won't have time to Magic Negate the entire party either.
Given that the dragons tend to be quite a bit easier than Garai when using the same team, and Magic_warlock90 already finished that with flipping Funguy, I figure he won't have too much trouble. I'd be a lot more worried about PolisPolice.

You try to run away. But there's no escape! The enemy tries to run away. But there's no escape! - Jan 22, 2013 11:42 am GMTActually, the reason was I realized that I wanted to use Riddel down the line on this playthrough, but I can't. If there were such things as Ivory Staves, I'd never bother taking all that time to pick up Draggy. Hell, I'd probably never pull Spriggan out of my team.
Also, f I picked that Rod, I could have used Razzly, too. Damn. Updates will happen tonight, classes and work are beating me senseless now.

I don't know if we're talking about food or sex at this point, but I couldn't really care less.
~hondacbr1 - Jan 24, 2013 9:40 pm GMTTook Karsh to the Valley for his Mini-Star and we're off to the Manor to rescue Lady Riddel! He got HP+3 and MRes+1, by the way.
This is a pretty exciting part of the game, I feel. The sewers are a nice break from all the heavy stuff covered in the Dead Sea, so I don't mind. The Spearfisher are annoying with the damn freezing attack, though. I'll be back for those CureAlls with Fargo!!!
Anyway, it's a rather straightforward dungeon with no real surprises, at least until it's Roachester time!
Karsh takes a cool 98 in a combo, Draggy counters with COughDrop for 175. Lynx combos into an Inferno for 217. Jitterbug hits for 142, 155, 232 for Lynx, Karsh, and Draggy, respectively. Draggy HealAll-1s while Karsh tosses out a Diminish-2. Karsh takes a 119 BugKamikaze, whew! These attacks are hard and fast! Lynx builds up and casts HealAll on the team while Draggy adds to his grid before Karsh eats another 90 in damage. BigBreath hits for 162 while Karsh combos. Jitterbug for 81(L), 83(K), 123(D). Lynx and Karsh build up for healing, but a third Jitterbug strikes for 90, 94, 129.
HealAll by Lynx, Inferno+2 by Karsh for 114. Draggy begins to combo, but is cut off by a BugKamikaze for 107 on Karsh, Draggy spews a CoughMix for a good 117. Lynx builds the grid, Karsh takes 55 in a combo. HealAll-1 by the catman while the Deva hits with a 109 MagmaBurst. A few combos from Draggy (I see slumping!), then 63(L), 59(K), 94(D) damage from a JitterBug. Volcano-2 from the dragon from 114, Draggy gets struck for 57. Lynx tosses of a Inferno+2 from 156 and finishes the battle to earn us the 27th Star!!!
*Star #27*
Lynx: HP+14, Str/Res/Mag+1 (Excellent gains here, no complaints)
Karsh: HP+7, MRes+1 (Meh, he'll improve)
Draggy: HP+12, Str/Res+1 (Hoorah!)

I don't know if we're talking about food or sex at this point, but I couldn't really care less.
~hondacbr1 - Jan 24, 2013 9:41 pm GMTToo tired for Hell Orcha, it can wait 'til tomorrow.
- Feb 1, 2013 11:35 am GMTGetting off work in two hours! Time to get a move on, 'cause the weekend's here!
---
I don't know if we're talking about food or sex at this point, but I couldn't really care less.
~hondacbr1 - Feb 1, 2013 5:05 pm GMTHell Cook time!!!
Lynx builds up while Hell Orcha misses completely! Deluge+1 for 240, Fireball on Karsh for 82, Deluge+1 by Draggy for 199, Karsh builds up his grid. Draggy gets comboed for 116, Deluge+2 by Karsh for 342! Alright! Lynx combos while HO casts FirePillar for 105 on Draggy. Lynx then tosses off a Deluge+2 for 318! Draggy combos and CurePluses himself while Karsh misses everything...
HO hits Draggy for 104 while Lynx strikes and uses AquaBall+1 for 187. Next up, SpiceOfLife for 119 healing on OH. Draggy tosses off an 183 AquaBall, Lynx gets a 129 MysteryMenu but counters with Deluge-2 for 148. HealAll by Karsh and for some God-only-knows reason, he gets healed by SpiceOfLife for 119!? What in the hell?
Anyway, AquaBall+2 by Draggy for a cool 139, Lynx builds up, Draggy takes 122 in a HO combo, and Draggy casts IceBlast for 166 (Hell Orcha is leaning!) while Karsh prepares his Elements. MagmaBomb on the team for 69(L), 49(D), 65(K). Uh oh, let's finish this! Deluge+1 for 327 by Karsh, AquaBall-1 by Draggy for 115, BlackHole-1 by Lynx for 252 and we win the 28th Star!
*Star #28*
Lynx: HP+6, Res/Mag+1
Karsh: HP+5, Str/Res+1
Draggy: HP+5, Res+1
---
I don't know if we're talking about food or sex at this point, but I couldn't really care less.
~hondacbr1 - Feb 1, 2013 5:41 pm GMTBy the by, I got the Mini-Stars from after Roachester, but I can't find where I wrote them down...
Draggy has 50 HP more than Orcha, but less Mag than Orcha. I feel HP is gonna matter more for the upcoming fight, so Draggy stays for now!
Anywho, saved the princess, reallocate for White Elements, and time now to rumble in the main hall! Porre Soldier go down to a BlackHole-2 easily. cyborG...er, Grobyc battle!
Lynx combos while Lynx takes 88 by the 'droid. Karsh opens up with a HolyLight+1 for 250. Draggy builds up while Karsh talks to the RocketFistfor 125. HolyLight+1 by Draggy for 238, HolyLight+1 by Lynx for 303. Lynx takes 81 in another combo. RecoverAll by Karsh, PhotonBeam+1 by Draggy for a nice 220. Haircutter 41(L), 91(D), 97(K). Lynx combos into a HolyLight for 253. Draggy taken into critical by a combo for 180. Karsh CurePluses the lil dragon while he combos. HealAll on Grobyc for 223, Lynx casts HolyLight+2 for 330! Hell yeah!
Draggy takes 62, Karsh casts another HolyLight for 288. Draggy uses MeteorShower+2 for a powerful 246. Vigora on Groybc, uh oh. Someone might die! HealAll-3 by Karsh, Lynx combos and defends. Groybc thankfully hits Lynx seven times, yet the catman only took around 140 in damage! Whoohoo! Lynx uses MeteorShower for 199, Draggy combos, Groybc Strengthens. MeteorShower+1 by Draggy for 199, making the cyborg lean!
PhotonBeam-1 by Karsh hits for 181 who eats 117 in a Groybc combo. PhotonBeam by Lynx strikes for 187, RocketFist for 120 on Karsh. BigBreath for 243, winning the fight!
Dammit!!! My God, I forgot this battle gave a Star! Holy crap. I don't feel like redoing these last two boss fights, screw it!
*Star #29*
Lynx: HP+9, Str/Res+1
Karsh: HP+12, Str/Res+1
Draggy: HP+15, Res/Mag+1
Guillot was tearing into the team hard! Karsh was especially sensitive. No play by play here, it went kinda fast and I'm in a hurry. My favorite chase scene happens now! God, this part of the game kicks all kinds of tail! Another Gulliot battle, epic window jump, dragons run loose, Grobyc joins, yay! More later on!

I don't know if we're talking about food or sex at this point, but I couldn't really care less.
~hondacbr1 - Feb 7, 2013 7:20 am GMTAlmost the weekend again, and you know what that means! Updates!
---
I don't know if we're talking about food or sex at this point, but I couldn't really care less.
~hondacbr1 - Feb 8, 2013 5:57 am GMTI'm astounded by the fact you beat Miguel. Great stuff!
---
But doctor, I am Pagliacci.
'Least I have chicken. - Feb 11, 2013 6:49 pm GMTUpdate time!
Got the boat and sailed to Hermit's Hideaway. Plot happens, Dark Serge looks pale and ugly as all get out, back to the S.S. Invincible for a ton of new party members, and we get sent on a fetch quest while losing Harle! What a mouthful, huh? Let's check out everyone's stats!
Looks like Marcy, Karsh, Orcha, Riddel, and Lynx are all tied for the highest Mag stat at 22. Too bad I can't use Riddel, plus they all have crap HP scores. I still plan on using Funguy and Draggy as well, their Mag isn't too far behind at 19, plus they have more HP than the rest of the team. Better grab Pip while I'm at it! I swear, he's the most loyal teammate around, screw the rest of those punks! A shame his Mag's rock bottom, though. To Lizard Rock for some Mini-Stars!
P.S.
My plan to get all the extraneous stuff out of the way. I want to beat Orlha, finish the Free Marbule sidequest, and beat the Tyrano before I tackle any of the dragons.
In fact, why don't I leave the order up to the board to decide. While I spend the next available days getting this done, y'all can decide my dragon order!
~Mini-Star #29~
Lynx: HP+4, Str+1 (Disappointing at this stage in the game...)
Marcy: HP+6, Str/MRes+1 (Good, she's desperate for HP!)
Karsh: HP+4, Res/Mag+1 (Great gains!)
Orcha: HP+4, Str/Res/Mag+1 (Yeaaah buddy)
Funguy: HP+4, Str/Res+1 (C'mon, man!)
Pip: HP+2, Str/Res+1 (What's with all the Str this playthrough!?)
Draggy: HP+1, Str/Res+1 (Terribad!)

~hondacbr1 - Feb 12, 2013 9:10 pm GMTGreen
Yellow
Black
Red
Blue
Sky
That is my vote for the order you fight the Dragons in.

"I love nailing Asari, so ageless and superior. Then you get them and they squeal like schoolgirls"- Gianna Parasini, Mass Effect 2. - Feb 13, 2013 12:22 pm GMTNoted! I'll need to squeeze in some time to get to this before the weekend, though!
---
I don't know if we're talking about food or sex at this point, but I couldn't really care less.
~hondacbr1 - Feb 15, 2013 9:09 pm GMTWell with these weak weapons/armors and the save marbule quest done the Black and Red dragons should be fought last with the Red one fought before the Black one.
- Feb 21, 2013 10:08 am GMTAlright, I guess I'm following Aigonroth's order, then! To the Home World Marshes! I plan on taking Karsh and Orcha with me to see how things go. First things first, however. We must make preparations to the fights ahead. I gotta go pick up some RecoverAlls and CurePluses, another Revive from the ruins of Home World Viper Manor, and a few extra Earthquakes!
First, we bought 10 of the healing Elements at Home Guldove and Termina, then went straight to the Manor. The enemies here are kinda wimpy, especially 'cause BlackHole > All. Got the Revive pretty easily and left fast. Last stop before the Green Dragon is Another Marshes for a couple more Earthquakes, which takes no time at all to get an extra three. Time to head for Gaea's Navel. There will be more later on tonight, so stay tuned.
---
I don't know if we're talking about food or sex at this point, but I couldn't really care less.
~hondacbr1 - Feb 21, 2013 7:22 pm GMTKicked those Beeba butts easily and landed in Gaea's Navel, where we met Leah! A shame her Mag's rock bottom, I love her character so much. Anyway, it's monster hunting time! Everything on this island can take a lot of punishment, so BlackHole is quite useful for mowing things down. The monsters hit like a damn truck here, so I know the bosses are really gonna lay into me.
On a side note, this place is absolutely beautiful. The jungle setting plus the great background music make for a wonderful, blood pumping combination. Doesn't take to long to draw out the Tyrano. Time for a fight!
Lynx starts off with a combo while Orcha takes 47 in a strike. Lynx promptly tosses off a BlackHole, insta-killing the Pterodact and hitting Tyrano for 200-some odd damage (I looked away...) Karsh builds up and casts Deluge+1 for a tidy 276. Lynx is comboed for 82 while Orcha strikes and hits with IceBlast-1 for 211. Karsh takes 40 from the brute while Lynx casts a 253 IceBlast. Karsh starts to build, but is interrupted! Lynx is CrunchOut-ed for 96, pitiful!
A Deluge from Karsh strikes for 256. Orcha takes 113 in a Tyrano combo, but Lynx promptly counters with a 261 Deluge+1! Let's end this! Orcha casts Earthquake+2 for 191, finishing the fight and earning us the 30th star!
*Star #30*
Lynx: HP+14, Str+1 (Nice amount of HP, can't hate that!)
Karsh: HP+16, Res/Mag+1 (Good Lord, that's wonderful!!!)
Orcha: HP+12, Str/Res/Mag+1 (Woah, another great boost!)
Hold up, time to save, Mini-Star, and allocate properly before taking on the Green Dragon.

~hondacbr1 - Feb 21, 2013 8:27 pm GMTBack to Lizard Rock, natch.

Lynx: HP+2, Str+1
Karsh: HP+5, Str/Res+1
Orcha: HP+5, Res+1
Draggy: HP+ 2
Pip: HP+6, Res+1
Funguy: HP+6, Str/Res/Mag+1
Marcy: HP+3, Str+1
Green Dragon time!

I don't know if we're talking about food or sex at this point, but I couldn't really care less.
~hondacbr1 - Feb 26, 2013 8:18 pm GMTTime for the first Dragon showdown.
Lynx busts out with a combo but Greeny busts out with a GreenField. We'll have none of that, thank you! Lynx counters with an Earthquake for 153. Orcha combos and everyone eats a BadBreath, but only Lynx gets hit with an AntiBlue effect, I believe? Anyway, ElectroBolt+2 from the cook for a nice 253. A combo from Karsh and a GreenField from the dragon. No way, Karsh responds with an ElectroBolt+1 for 174. Lynx combos and another GreenField from the Green Dragon. FreeFall-3 for 135 from Lynx. Orcha combos, another GF, Upheaval from Orcha for 105. This is going in a bit of a circle, but it's in our favor, eh?
Karsh misses everything and we all smell a very BadBreath, but once again, only Lynx catches the effects with a Dizzy this time. ElectroBolt from the catman for a nice 186. Karsh combo with a BadBreath in return (Lynx AntiWhited, Karsh AntiBlacked). Upheaval-1 from Karsh for 94. Orcha combo, BadBreath (Lynx AntiGreened). Orcha tosses off an Earthquake for a cool 211. Lynx is a'combo-ing while another GreenField happens. He responds with an ElectroBolt-2, hitting for 111. Karsh combos and defends alongside Orcha. GF again! Karsh tosses a MeteorShower-3 for 83 to mix up the field effect while Orcha builds up his grid. BadBreath again (Lynx AntiBlued, Karsh Burned and Blinded). Karsh combos and everyone takes another BadBreath (Orcha Sprained). Karsh uses ElectroBolt-1 for 133. No damage has occurred so far, let's keep this up!
Lynx combo, GF again. Lynx then tosses off an Earthquake+1 for 178. Orcha combo, another GF, and a casting of MysteryMenu for 215, yeah! Karsh builds up and receives another GF in return. Karsh casts a cool IceBlast for 156, while Lynx combos. GF, what a surprise! BlackHole from Lynx for 297, excellent! Orcha combos, another GF! ElectroBolt by the cook for 145. Karsh combos, GF, IceBlast-1 for 138, putting the dragon in critical, alright! Lynx BlackHole-2 for a decent 217. A HealPlus for 438 puts a damper on that, though. Orcha defends, all eat a BadBreath (Lynx AntiYellowed). Orcha combos, another BadBreath (Karsh AntiBlacked), Earthquake+2 by Orcha for 205. Karsh combo, BadBreath (Orcha Blinded, Karsh poisoned), Karsh uses Earthquake+2 for 208.
Almost there! Lynx combo, GF, Lynx AquaBall for 99. Orcha fudges all except two Weaks, GF yet again! ElectroBolt-2 from him for 106. Karsh builds, GF, PhotonBeam-1 for 103. Lynx attacks, another GF, and strikes with IceBlast for 142. Orcha and Karsh defend, another GF, Orcha builds and ElectroBolts for 151. Karsh builds and receives another GF, Upheaval+3 for 141, defeating the first of the six dragons and earning us the 31st Star! Woohoo!
*Star 31*
Lynx: HP+5, Str+1 (Boo! At least he broke the 400 HP mark!)
Orcha: HP+10, Res+1 (Slightly better!)
Karsh: HP+9, Str/Res+1 (No Mag for anyone? Aw...)
Picked up the cute Leah and it's off to the Earth Dragon Isle for us, after some Mini-Stars and shopping in Termina!
---
I don't know if we're talking about food or sex at this point, but I couldn't really care less.
~hondacbr1 - Feb 27, 2013 2:50 pm GMTGot a ton more AeroBlasters, picked up the Mini-Stars, switched in Funguy/Marcy, and headed for the Earth Dragon Isle!
~Mini-Star #31~
Lynx: HP+2, Str/Res/Mag+1
Orcha: HP+3, Str+1
Karsh: HP+8, Str+1
Pip: HP+6, Str+1
Marcy: HP+6, Agi+1
Funguy: HP+3, Str+1
Draggy: HP+6
I love the underground area here. The monsters are quite unique and wonderfully design. I'm a sucker for deserts and caves, and CC delivers quite well here! Anyway, fun with the sand boils and explosives (Luv ya, BlackHole!) and it's Earth Dragon time!
Lynx kicks off with a combo and Marcy gets smacked for 54. Lynx tosses off a BlackHole to start for a nice 349. Marcy combos and shoots an AeroBlaster for 187, then Funguy builds his Element Grid. Lynx eats 172 in a nasty combo. Funguy tosses off a quick HealAll-2 while Lynx and Marcy build up their grids. Marcy is hit for 63. AeroBlaster+2 by Marcy for 340, AeroBlaster by Funguy for 261, Lynx combos. GiddyBreath on Funguy for 43, ha!
FeralCats by Lynx for 190, Bushbasher+1 by Marcy for 169. Funguy takes 84 in a short combo. He counters with AeroBlaster+2 for 231. Lynx combos and so does Marcy. Marcy somehow dodges two of the Earth Dragons five swipes at her, only taking 98 damage! She quickly uses a HealAll-2, Funguy combos to an AeroBlaster+1 for 282, Lynx combos everyone takes a NaturalGas for 87(Lynx), 86(Marcy), and 72(Funguy). Lynx uses RecoverAll-2 to get back on trach while Marcy builds into an AeroBlaster+3 for 292, forcing Earthy to lean! Almost there!
Funguy promptly takes 259 in a five hit combo, but shrugs it off due to Lynx's healing by CurePlus. Funguy combos and looses an AeroBlaster+3 for a damaging 285. Another NaturalGas for 105(L), 105(M), and 85(F). Marcy strikes and casts AeroBlaster+2 for 273, clinching the fight and the 32nd Star! Yeah!!!
*Star #32*
Lynx: HP+5, Str/Res/Mag+1 (good gains, no complaints)
Marcy: HP+14, Agi+1 (She needs life like no tomorrow!)
Funguy: HP+10, Str+1 (I'll take it. HP is wonderful!)
