I buy when it was release and I really love it. I still keep a savegame very close to a perfect game.
Chocobo's Dungeon 2 is a great game, almost completely forgotten by the gamers; and I don't talk about today; even years ago, just a handful of people recognize how good this game was.
Probably just because look a little childish, many have imagine this was a game for little kids. Big Mistake. No matter how it looks like, this game is quite challenging. There is an incredible depth into the customization of weapons and equipment (that you must forge, combining different weapons and other "ingredients" that allow you to fuse different ability - element - etc. into a new weapon or armor) believe me: it's no task for little kids.
Anyway if you find this game get it right away. It's a little gem that won't disappoint you.

The game is fun i played it when i was 9 years old and still play it today. My brother likes it 14 and 16 years old. It's a lot of fun especially how the spells progress and experementing with your feathers and essence.

Whenever I play this game, when I do any action whatsoever, my birds make noise in response to Chocobo.

I tried to get into this game. I really did. Unfortunately, I couldn't. I do like these style of games; rather, the only game like this I have really played is Azure dreams which has a story/dialogs that makes me sad, but the game play I enjoy immensely compared to this one.
I just wish there was a good, current game like these sorts of games. Ah well ;_;

^Agreed...I did feel that Azure Dreams was more complex and interesting (although there was only one dungeon) but I lost my copy ...it'd be interesting combining these two together (one focuses more on the main character, the other focuses more on the monsters)
There aren't any good 'epic' dungeon games at the moment...

This was my first RPG game EVER. I played it first when I was like a 10-yo kid. Now I'm almost 20 and I played it in EBOOT format just to relive the good old days.
Ahh, the good 'ole memories.
