Chocobo Racing is a cute and charming game that can also provide some nostalgia.
Story: It's not as if a game like this would have a great story, basically chibi characters on a racing quest to collect magicite. The story is told through a sort of pop-up book way. Some of the dialogue even provided me with a few laughs.
Characters: The game has a pretty good collection of characters. Including those really secret characters, there's like..20 or so.
Gameplay: Most of the gameplay is generally the same to other kart racers. Except for the "Magic stones" This is something different where collecting more of the same magic stone will power it up. Also, there are unique abilities offered by certain characers. The game can get pretty frustrating at times. Especially when you're racing against those annoying ones Goblin and White Mage. You can also get hit by a powerful spell right before you cross the finish line, and then lose.
Sound: The music isn't too bad, especially with the good ol' chocobo theme. And the in-game sounds are decent.
Graphics: The graphics aren't really that great.
Overall, it's a fun game that can even get a little addictive. I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of remake. Too bad no one knows about it.
