Coming from a player who played pirates vikings and knights version 2.0 which was one of the most intricate sword fighting games i have ever experienced in my life.. I find this game a disaster.. In PVK for example you had four different direction attacks to choose from as well as four different corresponding parries that you had to choose perfectly to deflect your oppenents attack.. It was very difficult at first but overtime became the most rewarding.. realistic.. epic feeling a video game has ever provided for me.. picture going 43-0 in a sword fighting game because you had become such a skilled swordsman.. JUST LIKE THE MOVIES!! I became zorro and everyone else was the filthy peasants.. But than the PVKII made a change for the worst...and took out the comprehensive parry system to replace it with one click parry.. ruined it

Ever since that game i had always longed for a game just like it where i could train and train and dominate once again on the battlefield and when i saw this game i thought god was sending me a sign... But it couldnt have been a bigger dissapointment.. this game is good if you just want to have a half hour of sloppy fun or just kill some time drinkin beers it is ok but if you want to play competitively DO NOT get this game. The unreal engine is just not responsive enough for a game of this caliber.. sword fighting needs to have perfect hit registration in order for it to work out.. It is impossible to get good at this game and your kill death ratio will always be 1 at best. (if u have 10 kills u will have 10 deaths) because there if a 50% chance you or your opponent will win.. It is all about who gets luckier with the crappy sword registration (on your screen your enemy may appear to me facing another enemy than all of the sudden an invisible sword will cut your head off) Whatever your enemy appears to be doing.. he is not.. he is already 3 steps ahead of what he appears to be doing. And there is no comprehensive parry system or any skill involved it is just swing and right click (to block) swing and right click and hope your sword hits an opening.. NO SKILL INVOLVED WHATSOEVER. The unreal engine is just not suitable for competitive play in a game like this.. Source however worked great with PVKII (i would be able to parry fast as light and take on 4 enemies at once) but this game if more than one enemy approach you.. you might as well take your hands off the keyboard and take a sip of coffee because there is no point in trying to win that.

And this game is 2gb filesize and has like 3 levels i think it would be worth $5 definately not $25.. The graphics are gorgeous thats the only reason i gave it 1.5 ponts.. and the framerate is decent.. the server browser sucks.. (one server will say 24/24 players and u will join and it will be completely empty or 1-2 guys in it.. even if u just hit refresh) Thanks for reading my review guys.. get it if it goes on sale for $5 its worth showing your friends after a couple beers and you might get some laughs
