Boring and short lived gameplay keep Chibi-Robo from being a very good game.

Chibi-Robo is a game where you clean stuff. Yeah, sounds boring right? Well, you'll be doing that alot in Chibi-Robo. Chibi-Robo is a four inch robot who was bought as a birthday present for a eight-year-old girl. Your job is to make all the family members happy, and you make them happy by cleaning up stains and picking up trash. Of course, there is more to the game than this.
First, all the trash you pick up and put in the trash can gets you happy points and money. The more trash you pick up,the happier the family will be. You will usually find trash in the same areas of the room daily, and you will also find most of the stains in the same areas as well. There are also some items scattered around rooms, including things to give some people of the family, which will also give you happy points. Happy points are really easy to get and you'll get plenty of them pretty quickly, same for money. You can use the money you have to buy upgrades for Chibi-Robo,including gear, extra batteries, timers, seeds, and more.
Chibi-Robo has a battery, and it drains whenever you do anything. It drains when you walk, climb things, clean stains, pick up trash, fall of a high place, get attacked, and pretty much anything else. When you first start the game, the battery will go dead pretty fast. However, when you get a certain amount of happy points, you get a battery upgrade. These upgrades usually increase your battery by 20 points (you start with 80). This will allow you to travel further and work more, but still, charging the battery all the time is a real drag and is frustrating when you're trying to explore.
The graphics are pretty good. You can see Chibi-Robos reflection in the floor and if you look outside, you can see the sky with moving clouds or a starry sky. The characters in the game are very colorful and bright, although some faces do look a little choppy. The toys that come alive at night are well animated and look great. The house also looks real, with furniture and appliances.
The sound is not so good. Chibi-Robo makes a noise every step he takes which can get annoying after a while. Also, all the characters voices in the game are all garbled and sound like baby talk. The background music cuts off after the current time of day is about half over, and there doesn't seem to be a reason.
Overall,Chibi-Robo is a game with short gameplay. All you do is pick up trash, clean up stuff, and collect money and happy points to be the best robot. The game has some good touches like all the toys that come alive at night, planting seeds in the yard, and the graphics which show a real house from a tiny robots view. But the game is pretty easy as there really is no challenge, and the sound is also not done right. Rent this first.
