Getting any player you want for any price
Go to game options, add manager, then add a manger to any club you want. From this, you can sell that clubs' best players to your club for a cheap price.
Eg- Add manager of Liverpool and put Owen up as transfer listed and make the asking price low. Then make an offer for him.
If he does not wish to leave the club, keep fining him until he dislikes you.

Taking Charge of a National Team
Create a new game with the nation you're going to take control.
After clicking ''find other'', find any team in the particular country.
Click a player from the nation's country you want to manage and then his Nationality.
Now take control by clicking at the bottom right of the screen.
