An online conundrum, but an offline champion

User Rating: 8.3 | Champions of Norrath PS2
The Best Part: Lots of items, fun to play with friends.
The Worst Part: Probably the online.

Gameplay - 8/10
The gameplay in Champions of Norrath are your standard hack-n-slash RPG, with a few quirks, like, the ability to play online and offline with of to 4 people, you can bring your other characters from different saves into your game, and 5 different classes that are affected by gender for once. While the games quests are quite standard, there are many environments and the quests are always so different, they dont get old fast. The only bad thing is, it seems the same as many hack and slash RPGs.

Visual - 9/10
This game has bright beautiful environments and some dark desolate dungeons. All the environments seem new, and as beautiful as the last one. While there are some minor graphical issues, like some trees that are dull, these dont really affect the overall visuals to much.

Audio - 8/10
For a hack-n-slah RPG this game has some good themes and sound affects, but sometimes the sounds seem like they are used over and over again.

Value - 9/10
With a lengthy story, and a fantastic offline multiplayer, you'll want to play it with many friends, over and over again. While the online is fun, its not all that great, but still the games value is fantastic.

This is probably the best hack-n-slash RPGs to grace the PS2, so its definatly worth at least a rental.
