The first thing that comes to mind when playing Cel Damage is: haven't I played this before. The answer is yes, if you've played Twisted Metal. Cel Damage is a vehicular combat game set in a made-up cartoon show called "Cel Damage". The crazy characters, such as the crazy mobster duck or the brainiac riding on a hovercraft must blow eachother to smitherines using various weapons lying around the maps. The stratagy here is what weapon to use. The chaingun may be useful for longer range kills, but it won't stand up to a car wielding an ax close range. One thing is for sure: they really get the cartoon look and feel right. The graphics are fantastically cartoonish and the wacky gameplay and zany one-liners from each character make it feel like you are playing a cartoon. You may be only able to hold one weapon at a time, unlike Twisted Metal, but that doesn't make the game any less enjoyable. In fact, it adds more stratagy to it.
Gameplay: The entire game is able to be played with friends, but the single player game is where you can unlock new vehicles and characters. I've only played through the deathmatch mode, but that was sure fun, and hard!
Graphics: This is the most cartoony looking game ever made, and that's a good thing!
Sound: There's plenty of cartoony sound effects and funny voice overs to make this a very cartoony sounding game.
Value: I got it for $10, but it's not an easy game to find on store shelves, so you may have to do some digging...
Final Remarks: This may be a rip-off of Twisted Metal, but it's a great game that cartoon fans and everyone who wants to be a cartoon should play.
