This week we speak to Seth Killian about the characters of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, chat to Danger Close about creating Medal of Honor, catch up with the community at the Sydney Dead Rising 2 launch, and discuss our thoughts on TGS! PLUS, a very special guest!
Allow me to translate Killian's stutter-filled response to the question on how many characters are in the game/are left to be announced: "Obviously, I'm not allowed to reveal the exact number yet or exactly who else will be in the starting line-up due to threat of job loss. Also, we have DLC characters planned and we are still discussing internally who is in the main game and who will be DLC later. You'll see the opening cast revealed in the coming trailers and obviously there will be surprises in unlockable characters and the DLC." As for who I want, I still want Mega Man X to appear. He hasn't ever made a cameo outside the series. Zero has, X hasn't. X would have an interesting fighting style by being able to switch armors in mid-battle to change his fighting style. Capcom has finally put Amaterasu in another game, so I really can't be mad at them for long on anything else. Also, optional opening lines and sound effects would be cool for a fighting game like this. On the subject of unlockables, I think the times call for all characters to be unlocked from the start, but put other things as bonuses to unlock. Extra modes and costumes are my favorite. I love extra costumes. Even alternate move sets would be cool. I'm sure the developers come up with moves that never make it into the game. It would be great if you could pick your specials, supers, and assists, truly making your own dream team and play style.
It's good that they put this game on the PS3 I want to buy this game.
i hate people that claim fighting games are button mashers, its only because their brain cant handle something like this "DJ.HK > C.HP > SJ > LP > LP > LK > Tatsumaki Zankuukyaku > Tenma-Gou Zankuu" (akumas combo) lmao :P
@ryzrocks just because you are bad at them doesn't mean that there isn't any strategy to them. Download mvc2 and start a ranked match, mash some buttons and see how well you do. i guarantee you will get you ass handed to you.
@Cloud-Zehro okay...okay your right and I'm wrong....maybe there is is a bit of strategy in any game u play...........so don't be mad or anything I'm just saying
Randolph Ramsay gets to know how a low-powered Repulsor beam attack feels like.
hmm i'll stick with mugen. but i can't wait for deadrising 2
dead risisng is going to be the best game for a long time!!!
make Mortal Kombat Vs Street Fighter or MK Vs Tekken
@ ryzrocks your so wrong.every played bfbc2? thats reaaaaall tactical. along with many others. maybe you mash buttons and see if it works. but hey, thats what noobs do.
Crosshairs mite get the news a little late but the show shows you so much. It's always entertaining.
@ryzrocks Try doing that against someone who actually knows how to play, you won't last long.
there's no strategy in a fighting game, u just mash up some buttons and hope that its a special move
Medal of Honor is sounding good. I tried the beta and I hope they fixed the lag between death and death cam. Sniping is good. I'm happy that they added gravity. Also, to those wondering/complaining about the recoil. These guys are in the army, so I'm sure they have a recoil-suppression system. I'm not doubting or hating on Kinect that it's an upgrade to Eyetoy, like how others are saying that the Move is just an upgrade to the Wii. Which both are actually quite true... Back to what I was saying, not doubting the innovation of Kinect but what I'm worried about is the software. So far, it isn't looking that good.
I know why but I still don't know why! but the thought of Halo Reach is sad. Bungie's last Halo game and Reach being glassed. Makes my heart stop. More of a fictional planet being glassed makes my heart stop. What I like about MvC3 is that they added the characterization of Deadpool and him constantly breaking the fourth wall. True to Marvel. Thanks for that.
Now i feel like having a banana ...and groping someone.
Ok seriously I usually never do that but this is the first time I've gotten to. Regardless I do have something to actually say and that is that Halo Reach may be the only Halo game, disregarding Halo Combat Evolved that I buy and hold on to for a good time. Reason being that it's the first game in the series to recapture that feeling of long ago. Also Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is going to rule!
